I'm A Christian, But . . .

Will Vann

I don’t believe everything that the Bible teaches is true.

I don’t see the need to attend services every time the church meets.

I have a few drinks every now and then.

I don’t really like going to Bible class.

I don’t feel like I need to give when the collection is taken up.

I like to party and go clubbing on the weekends.

I don’t really like doing things for others.

My job is more important than God right now.

I let my kids pretty much do whatever they want.

I hate having to participate in worship in any way.

I think everyone has their own truth.

I never really study my Bible.

I don’t go to worship because my feelings were hurt one time.

I don’t go to worship because I don’t like the preacher, elders, teacher, or color they painted the walls.

It doesn’t bother me that my friends and family have never heard the Gospel.

It is too hard to act like one right now, maybe later in life I will.

You couldn’t tell unless I told you, but don’t worry I won’t.

Why would we ever want to be anything but just Christians?

“So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch” (Acts 11:26).
