Jesus Is The Reason For Every
Season!
By Brian R. Kenyon "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" is a slogan we usually see this time of year. As we have pointed out before, Biblically speaking, December 25 has nothing to do with the birth of Christ, and it is unfortunate that this is the only time of year many even think about the Lord. Jesus, however, should be the focal point of our lives, not only this time of year, but every time of the year! Paul said that by Jesus "were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence" (Col. 1:16-18). Jesus is supreme in the creation of the entire universe, thus He is the reason for every season! Jesus is supreme in spiritual creation (i.e., the church), thus He is the reason that we should adore Him and obey Him every day of the year. Do we? Brian |
