ATTENDANCE

“No storm or rain can make us shirk,
Our downtown, weekday, regular work;
And why not legislate the Sunday rule,
It will not bother Bible school.
To work? We always say “we can.”
No company can change our plan.
If we would thus to God be true,
We’d come on Sunday evenings too.
If we but wished the church were strong,
We’d love her study, prayer and song,
And would not this concern belie,
And let mid-week services slowly die.”
